End Of The GOP?

We find ourselves at a precipice, wide and gaping, its darkness, seemingly never-ending. We have a choice to make. Do we follow the Truth of the Living God, who’s principles and teachings are the foundation of this country or do we follow the dictates of a depraved society and fall headlong, off the cliff, into the abyss below? For too long the GOP has misinterpreted the big tent idea of Ronald Regan. Raising the flaps higher and higher in an effort to retain power, not realizing by doing so they were destroying the very fabric the tent was created out of.
A tent by its very nature is inclusive and exclusive. There are things the tent owner will allow in and others he will fight to the death to keep out.
The GOP is not the tent owner, it is the tent. Our party, like our boarder states have accepted the slow creep of intrusion until they are confused as to where their boarders truly lies. The voting members of the GOP are the tent owners. It is they who decides what the party stands for and what it stands against or what it lets into its tent and what it keeps out. With this idea in mind, we must ask ourselves, “How do we determine our belief system?”
My argument is that, we cannot put our finger to the wind, determine the sway of the people and try to ride the current trend to keep power. Who in the end does that serve? You must look at political party philosophy. Why do we have political parties? George Washington warned against them when he said, ” I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the State…Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally. This spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having its root in the strongest passions of the human mind. It exists under different shapes in all governments, more or less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in its greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.”
His words ring true louder today than they have in the history of the United States.
If then, we must have a party than, I again ask the question, “who and what do we serve?” Political parties are formed around a group of people and their ideas or ideals. The Republican party was formed around the Abolition movement and the overturn of the Kansas-Nebraska Act among other things. These issues of the day brought over 10,000 people into Jackson, Michigan which was to become the first meeting of the Republican Party.
Looking at our history we see that the party was built around a set of ideas agreed upon by the party members. The tent owners had made the first tent. The fabric of that tent was built on the idea that, “All men are CREATED equal, that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain inalienable rights…”
Where would they ever get a notion that all men are CREATED equal? You will certainly not find that in Darwin’s view of the world, which is being taught to our gullible children. His view gave rise to Hitler’s Third Reich, Mussolini’s Italy and Stalin’s Russia. No, we find this idea in the pages of the Holy Bible. God’s Word teaches that we are a created being, fallen from Grace but not forgotten by a long suffering God. A quick walk around DC will prove without a doubt that our Country was steeped in Christianity and so was the founding principles of the Republican Party.
Our party is suffering the cancerous effects of the Progressive school system. Liberals have long since taken over the once Christian Halls of such schools as Yale and Harvard. Even our local Universities are a breeding ground for perversions and depravities. Our children are indoctrinated by the ever droning lies of Communist Professors. Did we honestly think we could send our kids to these schools and them not be affected? How ridiculous! Today, we are seeing those who learned well the lessons of their left leaning teachers and a society who promotes a me-ist mind set. Our young Republicans want us to put away the old thinking of Marriage and Life. Adopt a more open attitude, accept who they are, stop the hate speech, blah, blah, blah. Yes, they have learned their lessons well. The problem is it was the wrong lesson.
Marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman. It is a reflection of God and his Church. The promise that when this horror show we call life is over, we will once again be reunited with the God of this Universe. The joining of two men or two women is a perversion of this Covenant and a direct affront to God. Satan uses homosexuality to attack the living space of the Holy Spirit, which is the body of the person.
Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17,”Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”
By perverting the Covenant he keeps those who practice it away from God. He knows his time is limited, the more of us he takes to hell with him and the more pain he causes God by destroying His people the better he likes it. God says of homosexuality:
” Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” Leviticus 18:22
“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” Leviticus 20:13
How then can we as Christians stay in a party that adopts Homosexuality into the fabric of the tent. I say we cannot. Homosexuals make up less than one percent of the total population. They must prey on our children to increase their numbers. Why then, would we, as a party, entertain this perversion? We as a party should be purging this perversion and send them to a party with a much bigger tent. When we lose track of foundational principles we lose the very essence of our party. By throwing God under the bus we become nothing more than the poor Democrats who have lost their way and by doing so have lost their party. They are nowhere near the party of Andrew Jackson or John Kennedy. They have opened the tent so wide that it no longer provides them a shelter or a solid base upon which to place their platform. I’m sure you all watched when the DNC voted whether to keep God in their party. Three times they voted Him down and someone who knew they would be raked over the coals by their throwing God to the curb, over road the crazed masses and declared the vote for God. Boos were loudly audible. The Democrats Boo’d God!
Are we there my friends? Are we at the precipice ready to throw away the founding principles of this country? Are we really going to vote against God?
To me there is no choice, I choose Him. As my father’s before me, I believe, without Him and his Laws we are doomed.
If the GOP continues down this trend and stand for perversions and the daily social fad, then I must travel a more suitable road. The GOP will be truly dead and Satan will have had his day.

Ms. Sears says, “We as a party should be purging this perversion and send them to a party with a much bigger tent.” That seems to go against the party platform position that says, “We embrace the principle that all Americans should be treated with respect and dignity.” The idea that we should purge homosexuals from the party is absurd and against the platform. Even posting this on the Schoolcraft County GOP blog goes against the bylaws of the very organization. Please explain how purging long-time members of our party will “benefit the general welfare of the Republicans of Schoolcraft County”.

The party can adhere to its principles of defending traditional marriage without purging people from it. To see this coming from a district vice chair and a county committee is deeply troubling.

  • RGeorgeDunn says:

Nathan, this to which Mary speaks to has been coming and we have been attempting to change course for a while. Your assuming it is about purging people is way off. It is about purging that which is wrong in the eyes of God. Those who are sinners make up all of humanity. It is conduct we divide, not people.

If the GOP is going to be a conservative liberal, they will do it without we Constitutional Conservatives. But, if we awake and stop the encroachment of this darkness, Agenda 21, fiscal collapse into martial law, redefining Marriage and continued murder of Children in the womb, will will find our Liberty and Prosperity of days gone by, again.

Sorry if you are offended. The goal is not to but to change direction toward the Shiny City on the Hill, away from the dark Shadow of DC.

    • Nathan Inks says:

      Purging from where, Mr. Dunn?

    • Nathan Inks says:

It doesn’t sound like conduct she’s talking about purging, when she says, “and send them to a party with a much bigger tent”. If she’s talking about purging homosexual conduct, the pronoun “them” would not be applicable. The word “them” implies she is talking about people.

  • Joseph Parish says:

I support the end of the GOP.

  • Joel Poynter says:

Nathan, George is correct. If the Republican Party embraces a morally incorrect platform, the TEA Party for the most part will leave the Republican Party. I am Treasurer of the Lake County Republican Party and I assure you I will leave if that happens. My biggest concern is that the TEA Party will embrace Libertarian Party instead of the Constitution Party. If our forces are split we will win nothing and become a movement that is ineffective.

    • Nathan Inks says:

It has never been part of the party platform to purge homosexuals from the party.

    • Kevin says:

The party’s movements are already largely ineffective. The GOP lost the last two Presidential elections and many seats in both houses. It’s all they can do to use their majority in the House as a Blockade. And if the party continues to embrace this staggeringly narrow view on what is “morally correct”, the party will continue to lose elections and supporters. The base of the party is literally dying off.

And of Ms Sear’s comments above, I don’t understand how she can conflate the idea that the party who fought to end slavery and establish the ideas in Lincoln’s quote that “all men are created equal” with the idea that somehow homosexuals were not created equal and don’t deserve equal protection under the law. The basis for her argument belies the result. It’s akin to arguing that cigarettes are great because they cause cancer and kill you.

Any party members that don’t move to distance themselves from her views are likely destined to end up as forgotten as I predict she will be in a year.

Mary Helen, this is an ignorant piece of shite. I can tell how stupid you are by how poorly written your article is. Please go back to school and graduate. You can’t even capitalize things properly or spell. This is unreadable crap. You could maybe even go to college. This is really shameful. Your writing ability speaks volumes about your intelligence. As it is, you sound like a complete idiot.

It is pretty obvious that Mary Helen Sears, with her 1980s hairdon’t, does not have a gay hairdresser.

You have to wonder what happened to this bitch to turn her into such homophobic trash. Did you get dumped by your boyfriend once he realized he was gay?

  • Greg S says:

Thank you for reminding me why to never trust for even one moment the republican – tea party. This piece fully solidifies my belief that these groups are some of the most ignorant people to breathe the air, please help the planet and stop.

    “horror show we call life”

What a sad view your religion has lead you to….

  • Greytdog says:

“Marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman. It is a reflection of God and his Church” – so Abraham & Sarah weren’t married then, since there was no Church at the time. Right? So what’s next – purging Jews?
Your god is too small. If you are a reflection of your god – then you worship a very petty minded, mean spirited god. I feel so sorry for you that you have placed your faith in such an empty vessel.

  • Sarah Chalke says:

    Ms Sears,

Finally someone gets the importance of carefully reading the bible. I find I must warn you about the appearance of your hair:

“For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.” (1 Cor. 11:6)

I assume a fine upstanding Christian women such as yourself always covers her head in public, and be aware that your picture on the internet is in a public space. Please follow God’s will and cover your hair in the future.

    Have a blessed day!

    -A fellow concerned Christian

  • Sarah says:

This individual who thinks homosexuals need to increase their numbers and then quotes bible versus is not at all aware of how the Christian religion indoctrinates babies to save them from hell. Any religion that thinks babies need to be saved from hell. Is seriously troubled. Although I think this woman takes the cake on the most troubled she needs serious mental help. Sorry I called her a woman. I meant to say piece of trash.

  • Kevin W. Pfister says:

I want you to think about something; everything the left has done over the last couple of years has been designed to fragment the the Republican Party. This debate is a phoney
ploy, the democratic party cares less about the Homosexual and more about the potential vote that segment of the populaton can provide. Now , we the Republican Party are pandering for the very same vote.

It seems that every politcian who wants to keeps his/her job will suddenly have the revolation that they have a gay son or daughter. Do we need these people? Are they worth our time if they do not represent our interests. We have forgotten about religion, and have lost our moral compass’ if we simply allow the left and the liberal media to direct our thinking.

Stay the course, keep those in office that support our conservative views and consign those that don’t on the dust bin of history. The left has screwed up this country enough with their phoney outrage over minor events. I am confident that the Supreme court will
will side with the states, allowing each to decide for itself if they will allow same sex marrage. Then we handle it at the local levels.

The left has constantly strove to disrupt any atempt a normality. This has been allowed to surface as a way to disrupt our 2014 mid term elections. The same agenda is being pushed with gun control. Our problem is our PARTY has no attack dog! We need an offensive capability that can take the fight to the Gutter where the Democrat lives and breeds.

There is no high moral ground for the democratic party. They promote homosexuality
yet want mental health checks for the rest of us because we want to purchase a gun for protection. They promote abortion, and worse yet; post birth abortion. Then seek new and inventive ways to separate you from your money, savings and furure prosperity while
    simultaneously supporting an Arab Spring that has destabilized most of the Middle East;
and this was done with our tax dollars. They support drug abuse, and the dumbing down of our children through public school propoganda designed to teach homosexuality good, religion bad, Ala and Mohamad good, Jesus and chistanity bad. There liberal news pundits call for the destruction of the Constitution; and replacement with the South African constitution. There moral compass is money, and power, and not those they’re elected to serve.

They (Democrats) are not part of the world I want to live in. I want not part of there progressive future, because its very nature it means to progress without the people who
    built this country.

  • Susan Webber says:

This is disgusting. You do not represent MY Christ or MY G-d! My G-d isn’t a bigot.

  • Jess Hart says:

The one issue that Ms. Mary fails at – that most “Christians” do, is if you use the Word of God, then don’t cherry pick. Why don’t you use the entire chapter of Leviticus and purge everyone on the list. —- I did a word study of the word “abomination” and every time it is used in Leviticus. IT means God “hates”. Everysingle time. But I love it when it is only used with homosexuality. I am Christian, and I am Gay.

Been that way since I figured it out a long time ago. Never was recruited, never really had friends that were gay. Just knew I was.

Come on Mary get a life. Start really reading the Bible and what its message is.

  • Is the Schoolcraft GOP Trying to Get Money from the Agema “TOP LOSER” PAC with this crap? http://daveagema.blogspot.com/2014/02/is-schoolcraft-gop-trying-to-solicit.html

  • Daniel says:

If Ms. Sears wishes to put homosexuals to death, she is more than welcome to try, but it will literally be over this Veterans cold, dead body.

  • Bill says:

“The promise that when this horror show we call life is over, we will once again be reunited with the God of this Universe.”

This woman believes her life to be a horror show.

God’s greatest gift to her? A horror show???

You say so much with that statement, Ms. Sears.

    About yourself.

Clearly God is no where near you. And who could blame him, really.

  • lolinternets says:

Yo go Mary, I think think you should take it a step further and push for gay people to be executed like in saudi arabia. Can we get this woman front and center in front of the GOP

  • Clint says:

Good luck, Ms. Sears! I hope that you succeed in taking over the GOP, purging all of those icky homosexuals foolish enough to support your party, and making the GOP the official party of choice for every elderly white bigot in America. It should be easy, since the GOP is already the party of choice for racists, sexists, homophobic bigots, xenophobes, islamophobes and anti-semites. I could refer you to any number of authorities in the mental health community for the proposition that LGBT Americans are normal people leading normal, ordinary and productive lives in every corner of society and in military service, as most people in this country now understand, but it would obviously be wasted on anyone as stubbornly ignorant as you are. And by the way, gay people are no more likely to molest children than straight people. Perhaps you are living in a cave somewhere on the UP. As a mainstream Protestant Christian, I also have to wonder how you can have the temerity to claim that you are a “Christian.” You are to Christian theology what “paint by numbers” is to art. However, that probably puts you in the mainstream of what is left of the GOP these days. So I wish you well in your effort to make the Republican Party even more out of touch with everyday Americans than it is already.
